• Triple-Layer Filtration: Each cat fountain filter combines a cotton layer, activated carbon and ion exchange resin. The layers help intercept debris, reduce odors and condition the water, while the separate pre-filter sponge helps catch hair and larger particles before they reach the pump.
• Prepare Before Installation: Soak each filter in clean water for 5 minutes, then rinse it for 30 seconds to remove loose activated-carbon particles. Install the filter and pre-filter sponge in the matching positions shown in the MISFANS fountain instructions.
• Routine Replacement: Replace the filter and sponge every 1-2 weeks, adjusting the interval for water quality, number of pets and fountain use. Inspect the filter sooner if debris builds up, and clean the fountain reservoir and pump regularly to maintain water flow.
• Compatibility Check: Designed for MISFANS ceramic cat water fountains that use the same filter and square sponge format. Before purchase, compare the shape and size with your current parts; compatibility with non-MISFANS ceramic or stainless steel fountains is not guaranteed.
