- SELF-LIMITING: Calcite has natural self-limiting characteristics. As the low pH water flows through cartridge dissolving the minerals, the pH of the water increases. Since neutral water does not dissolve calcite, the minerals stop dissolving when the water’s pH is corrected, giving you pH balanced water and a longer filter life.

AMI calcite filter cartridges are filled with 100% calcite media to naturally remineralize acidic drinking waters, raising the pH and alkalinity to a non-corrosive equilibrium. Calcite, a naturally occurring mineral, is self-limiting - dissolving only enough to increase the water's alkalinity to reach a non-aggressive, non-corrosive level. AMI calcite mineral cartridges are designed to fit standard filter housings for ease of compatibility. AMI calcite filters are an ideal reverse osmosis post-treatment – to remineralize RO water.
H-F2520CALCITE is 2.75” Diameter x 20” length and fits inside of a 20" Standard and 20" SlimLine style filter housings (the outside dimensions of these housings are approximately 4.5" OD x 22" H).
