The filter's life can be extended between changes through backwashing. It is recommended to replace the filter every six months or as needed. The package includes the PreFilter housing, a 10-micron sediment filter, a wrench, a backwashing adapter, and a hose extender. Using the DirtGUARD Sediment PreFilter model RDG101, this prefilter blocks sediment at the 10-micron level, prolonging the life of your inline filter.
