⭐ Key Features
•Two granular activated carbon cartridges in the standard 10 by 2.5 inch slim line size, replacing AP117, WHKF-GAC, CROS-5 and C117. At a three to six month change that covers six months to a year on one housing.
•Loose granular carbon, not a pressed carbon block. The two are not interchangeable: granular flows more freely at lower pressure drop, a block gives tighter filtration. Know which your system takes before ordering, because they look similar from the outside.
•Dual media. A sediment layer pairs with the carbon so one cartridge reduces chlorine taste and odor and captures dirt and rust in a single stage, which is what these systems were built around.
•Direct size-for-size replacement for AP117, WHKF-GAC, CROS-5, C117, GAC-10, UDF-10, UDF-10W, GAC1, GAC1-SS, D-20A, C-10, CFS117 and FXUTC. If the cartridge you are pulling out measures 10 by 2.5 inches, this fits your housing.
•Check the width as well as the length: this is the slim 2.5 inch cartridge, not the 4.5 inch big blue. Carbon exhausts rather than clogging, so change on a schedule rather than waiting for a sign. CFS is an independent brand, a compatible replacement and not an OEM part.

📋 Product Description
CFS granular activated carbon water filter cartridges, two per pack, in the standard 10 by 2.5 inch slim line size, replacing AP117, WHKF-GAC, CROS-5 and C117. At a three to six month change that covers six months to a year on a single housing. Granular carbon is the point of this cartridge, and it is worth being clear about what that means. The carbon is loose media packed into the cartridge body rather than pressed into a solid block. The two are not interchangeable and they look broadly similar from the outside, so it pays to know which your system takes. Granular flows more freely at a lower pressure drop, which suits a whole house or drinking water system feeding a full household. A pressed block gives tighter filtration but restricts flow more, which is why these systems shipped with granular in the first place. This is a dual media cartridge. A sediment layer pairs with the carbon, so one cartridge reduces the chlorine taste and odor that carry through into drinking water while also capturing dirt and rust on the way through. That saves running two stages where there is only room for one, which is exactly what the AP117 position was designed around. It is a direct size-for-size replacement for AP117, WHKF-GAC, CROS-5, C117, GAC-10, UDF-10, UDF-10W, GAC1, GAC1-SS, D-20A, C-10, CFS117, FXUTC and other standard granular activated carbon cartridges. Those are the same cartridge position under different part numbers, so if any of them appears on your old filter or in your system manual, this is the right replacement. If the one you are pulling out measures 10 by 2.5 inches, it fits your housing. Check the width as well as the length before ordering, because this is where wrong orders happen: the slim 2.5 inch cartridge and the 4.5 inch big blue are both sold as ten inch, and they will not swap. Carbon behaves differently from sediment media at the end of its life. A sediment cartridge warns you it is finished by dropping your water pressure; carbon gives no such signal and simply stops reducing taste and odor while the flow stays the same. Change on a schedule rather than waiting for a symptom. CFS is an independent brand and these are compatible replacements, not original manufacturer parts.
