⭐ Key Features
•COCONUT SHELL CARBON BLOCK, NOT LOOSE GRANULES – The carbon is formed into a solid block instead of packed as granules, so water is forced through the media rather than finding channels around it. That contact is what reduces chlorine taste and odor, and the block structure also captures the sand, silt, dirt and rust that cloud water and wear on fixtures. Plan on a change about every 3 to 6 months, sooner on well water or heavy sediment.
•BETTER-TASTING WATER FROM EVERY SOURCE – Whether your home runs on municipal tap water or a private well, the carbon reduces the chlorine taste and odor that make water unpleasant to drink and cook with — better-tasting water from the system you already own. For certified reduction of specific contaminants, look for cartridges tested to NSF/ANSI 53 for those claims.
•FITS THESE PART NUMBERS – Fits the W5CIP position, sold as 155002-52, and the C1 position, sold as 155002-43, 155002-32 and TO1-DS. It seats in HF-150, HF-160, HF-360, W34-PR, OB1, OB5, U24 and U25 housings and most other 9.75 by 2.5 inch slim line housings. Note that W5CIP478 is the 5 inch half length version of this cartridge, not this size.
•MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER – Cartridges are maintenance parts, not water treatment plans, and no single one handles everything. Carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor. Sediment media captures sand, silt, dirt and rust. For any specific contaminant you are concerned about, look for a system certified to the NSF/ANSI standard that names it. If you are on a private well, start with a water test.

📋 Product Description
CFS TASTE AND ODOR CARBON CARTRIDGE — 10 X 2.5 INCH, 4 PACK A direct replacement for W5CIP and the C1 position, in the standard slim line size. Actual dimensions are 9.75 by 2.5 inches. COCONUT SHELL CARBON BLOCK The carbon is formed into a solid block rather than packed as loose granules, so water is forced through the media instead of finding channels around it. That contact is what reduces the chlorine taste and odor that make water unpleasant to drink and cook with. The block structure also captures the sand, silt and rust that come off older plumbing on the way through. The original cartridge in this position is a carbon impregnated cellulose. A block behaves differently: it filters more consistently and it holds up on untreated water, where cellulose media is not recommended. WHAT IT REPLACES The W5CIP position, sold as 155002-52, and the C1 position, sold as 155002-43, 155002-32 and TO1-DS. It seats in HF-150, HF-160, HF-360, W34-PR, OB1, OB5, U24 and U25 housings and most other slim line housings that take a 9.75 by 2.5 inch cartridge. ONE NUMBER TO WATCH W5CIP478 is the half length version of this cartridge, about 5 inches rather than 10. The two part numbers differ only by the suffix while the cartridges differ by half their length, so measure the one you are pulling out rather than ordering on the number alone. WHEN TO CHANGE IT About every three to six months on typical municipal water, sooner on a busy line or where the incoming water carries sediment. Run water through a new cartridge for a few minutes before use to clear loose carbon fines, which is normal on any new carbon filter. Compatible replacement cartridge. Part numbers are for reference only.
