• MATCH THE RESTRICTOR TO THE RATING – A thin film composite element only produces against back pressure, and that pressure comes from the drain line flow restrictor. A 100 GPD element wants roughly an 800 ml restrictor, not the 500 ml a 50 GPD system ships with. Leave the old restrictor in and you get a running drain and disappointing output. Swap both together and it performs as rated.
• PURER WATER FROM EVERY SOURCE – On municipal tap or private well supply, the membrane strips dissolved solids — low-TDS water for drinking and cooking from the system you already own. RO reduces TDS broadly; for certified reduction of specific contaminants, look for systems tested to NSF/ANSI 58 for those claims.
• FITS THESE PART NUMBERS – Direct replacement for TW30-1812-100, TW30-1812-100HR, TW30-1812-100D, TW-1812-100D and 170102. At 100 GPD this is the top of the standard residential 1812 range, and the element seals in the same nominal 2 inch vessels that take 18 through 100 GPD elements, so it drops into the housing you already have.
• MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER – Cartridges are maintenance parts, not water treatment plans, and no single one handles everything. Carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor. Sediment media captures sand, silt, dirt and rust. For any specific contaminant you are concerned about, look for a system certified to the NSF/ANSI standard that names it. If you are on a private well, start with a water test.
