It filters 180 gallons per hour for aquariums up to 30 gallons and is compatible with Marineland Rite-Size S filter media. Plus, it’s easy to set up and easy to maintain! Stack N’ Flo Filter Trays force water to flow through media layers that provide mechanical, chemical and biological filtration. Other parts of the canister filter include intake/outlet U-tubes, strainer, elbow & diffuser, suction cups and vinyl tubing. The Bio-Filter Balls provide a large, multi-faceted surface area for the growth of Bio-Spira bacteria and the beneficial ammonia-neutralizing bacteria responsible for biological filtration. Inside the carbon bag, Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon removes odors, discoloration and water impurities for chemical filtration. The Rite-Size S filter foam pad screens out dirt and debris for mechanical filtration while enhancing biological filtration. The Rite-Size S polishing filter pad acts as a water polisher, removing particulate dirt and fine debris.
