The Pentair Pentek WP5BB97P is a 10-inch Big Blue string-wound sediment water filter cartridge designed for whole house and commercial water filtration. Made from fibrous polypropylene fiber cord wound around a polypropylene core, this 5-micron nominal filter reduces dirt, sand, silt, rust, and scale particulates from your water supply. The polypropylene construction will not impart taste, odor, or color to filtered water. The WP5BB97P string-wound design provides high dirt-holding capacity with a pressure drop of less than 3 PSI at 20 GPM and supported flow rates from 10 to 65 GPM. The cartridge is chemical resistant, making it suitable for industrial fluid filtration as well as residential applications including drinking water purification and irrigation. Note: an anti-static agent is included and may cause brief foaming during initial startup. This cartridge measures 4.5" x 9.88" and fits all standard 10-inch Big Blue filter housings that accept 4.5-inch diameter cartridges. Operating temperature range is 40-165 degrees F. Replace when you notice a decrease in water pressure or a change in water quality.
