- LEAK PREVENTION; do not over tighten sump, tighten to hand tight and give additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn, plastic fittings preferred over metallic, do not over tighten fittings, use Teflon tap on threaded connections. Cartridge, mounting bracket, and wrench are NOT included and are sold separately.

Description
The Pentair Pentek Big Blue Heavy Duty Filter Housing is an extra-large 10-inch vessel for whole-house, high-flow, and heavy-sediment filtration. It accepts 4.5" diameter "Big Blue" cartridges, so it houses the cartridge that reduces sediment and other contaminants in your water while reducing the number of vessels a high-flow system needs.
The polypropylene sump and High-Flow Polypropylene (HFPP) cap thread together with one large closure sealed by an EPDM O-ring and stand up to a broad range of chemicals. The cap uses 1" NPT inlet and outlet ports. This model does not have a pressure-relief button. It is Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material and structural integrity requirements.
Maximum dimensions are 13.30" x 7.45" (338 x 189 mm), and the 10-inch housing is rated to a maximum 100 psi at 40 to 100 degrees F; protect against freezing to avoid cracking and water leakage. The filter cartridge, mounting bracket, and tightening wrench are NOT included and are sold separately.
