Description
The Pentair Pentek 150237 is a 10-inch Big Blue heavy-duty filter housing built for high-flow, whole-house filtration. Its large sump holds any 10" x 4.5" cartridge, so a single vessel handles high sediment loads and flow rates that would overwhelm a standard housing.
The housing pairs a molded polypropylene sump with a High-Flow Polypropylene (HFPP) cap featuring 1" NPT inlet and outlet ports and a pressure-relief button that bleeds pressure for easy cartridge changes. It is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material and structural integrity, with an EPDM O-ring and a 300-series stainless button. Maximum pressure is 100 psi with a low 1 psi drop at 15 gpm, rated for 40-100°F water.
The filter cartridge, mounting bracket, and wrench are sold separately. For a leak-free seal, hand-tighten the sump plus a 1/4 to 1/2 turn, use Teflon tape on threads, and confirm your plumbing is 1" NPT. Protect from freezing.
