The Pentair Pentek PCF1-10MB is a mixed bed deionization (DI) cartridge developed for the many industries that require deionized water. It uses semiconductor-grade mixed bed DI resin that undergoes additional post-production steps to minimize total organic carbon (TOC), producing high-purity water with very low total dissolved solids (TDS). The PCF Series is designed for deionizing water up to 16 megohms. This 10-inch cartridge measures 2.67" x 9.75" (68 mm x 248 mm) at maximum and carries a capacity of 270 grains, equal to 17,500 mg of TDS as calcium carbonate. It delivers a low initial pressure drop of 1.5 psi at the suggested flow rate of 0.25 gpm and is rated for water temperatures from 40 to 100 degrees F. The shell, endcaps, pre-filter and post-filter are polypropylene, with Buna-N gaskets. Convenient and cost-effective, the PCF1-10MB suits applications where low TOC and TDS are required, including circuit board printing, pharmaceutical and medical laboratory use, and cosmetics. Replace the cartridge when output conductivity begins to rise or water purity falls off, since resin life depends on incoming water quality and usage.
