The Pentair Pentek ChlorPlus 10BB is a 10-inch Big Blue carbon cartridge engineered to reduce chloramine in addition to chlorine taste and odor, delivering cleaner, better-tasting water from homes on municipal or city water that contains chloramine. It uses an advanced bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) block media with a 1-micron nominal rating. The bonded carbon block construction targets chloramine and chlorine while reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with loose granular carbon cartridges. The cartridge uses polypropylene end caps, polyolefin inner and outer wrap, polyethylene netting, and Santoprene gaskets, and is rated for water from 40 to 100 degrees F with an initial pressure drop of 6 psi at 2.0 gpm. It is well suited to point-of-entry and point-of-use applications. This 4.5" x 9.75" cartridge fits 10-inch Big Blue and other heavy-duty 4.5-inch filter housings and replaces any 10" x 4.5" carbon filter cartridge. It provides chlorine taste and odor reduction for more than 250,000 gallons and chloramine reduction for 3,500 gallons at 2.0 gpm. Replace the cartridge when you notice a drop in water pressure or water quality.
