The Pentair Pentek EP-BB is a bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) block cartridge in the EP Series, sized for 10-inch Big Blue filter housings. With a nominal 5 micron filtration rating and 22,000-gallon capacity, this carbon block delivers greater chlorine taste and odor reduction than competitive 10 micron blocks while capturing fine sediment.The high porosity design maximizes carbon utilization by allowing the full adsorption capacity to be used before the cartridge plugs, maintaining low pressure drop throughout its service life. A polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter wrap traps incoming sediment that typically clogs carbon block cartridges, significantly extending the useful life of the filter.Fits all 10" x 4.5" Big Blue and heavy duty filter housings. NSF International tested and certified for material requirements. Polypropylene endcaps and polyolefin wrap construction. Operating temperature: 40-180 degrees F. Suitable for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications. Replace every 6 months or when water pressure or quality decreases.
