The Pentair Pentek EP-20 is a bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) block cartridge in the EP Series, engineered for chlorine taste and odor reduction in whole house filtration systems. With a nominal 5 micron filtration rating and 12,000-gallon capacity, this carbon block delivers greater chlorine reduction than competitive 10 micron blocks while capturing fine sediment.The high porosity design maximizes carbon utilization by allowing the full adsorption capacity to be used before the cartridge plugs, maintaining low pressure drop throughout its service life. A polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter wrap traps incoming sediment that typically clogs carbon block cartridges, significantly extending the useful life of the filter.Fits all standard 20" x 2.5" filter housings. NSF International tested and certified for material requirements. Polypropylene endcaps and polyolefin wrap construction. Operating temperature: 40-180 degrees F. Suitable for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications. Replace every 3 months or when water pressure or quality decreases.
