Description
The Pentair Pentek CBC-20BB is a 20-inch Big Blue whole-house carbon block cartridge that reduces chlorine taste and odor and other unwanted tastes and odors for cleaner, great-tasting water. Molded from bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC), it is rated at an ultra-fine nominal 0.5 micron, so it also captures very fine sediment.
The tight 0.5-micron block and enhanced dirt-holding capacity make it an ideal choice for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial water, and an excellent polishing filter or pre-filter where fine filtration and high capacity matter.
Measuring 20" x 4.5", it fits all 20-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue and other heavy-duty housings and is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements. It provides up to 150,000 gallons and handles water up to 180°F. Because the block is very fine, use a high-flow housing and expect a higher pressure drop than coarser cartridges. Replace about every 12 months.
