Pentair Pentek WP1BB20P is a polypropylene string-wound sediment cartridge built for whole house filtration. Wound from fibrous polypropylene fiber cord, it reduces fine sediment such as dirt, sand, silt and rust down to a nominal 1 micron, helping protect plumbing, water-using appliances and downstream filters.
The precise string-wound pattern provides greater surface area to hold more dirt while maintaining high flow with minimal pressure drop, less than 6 psi at 30 gpm. The polypropylene media is chemical-resistant and rated for water temperatures from 40 to 165 degrees F, making it suitable for both hot and cold applications on municipal and well water.
Maximum dimensions are 4.5" x 20-1/2" (114 mm x 521 mm) to fit standard 20-inch Big Blue housings; because the cartridge measures a full 20-1/2 inches, confirm your housing depth before ordering.
