Pentair Pentek FloPlus Series Cartridges are modified molded bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) blocks that pair fine particle reduction with the high flow rate and low pressure drop of a nominal 10-micron cartridge. The FloPlus-20 reduces chlorine taste and odor and bad taste and odor from potable drinking water while delivering true depth filtration at a nominal 0.5 micron rating. This cartridge is tested and certified by NSF against NSF/ANSI Standard 53 and CSA B483.1 to reduce cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia by mechanical means. With an initial pressure drop of just 2 psi at 2 gpm and a temperature rating of 40 to 180 degrees F, it is ideal for whole house use and for applications where pressure drop and low flow have been chronic problems. The FloPlus-20 measures 2.88 inches by 20 inches and fits standard 20-inch filter housings. It is rated for more than 20,000 gallons of chlorine taste and odor reduction at 2 gpm. Replace the cartridge when you notice a drop in water pressure or water quality. After installation, flush the cartridge before use to clear any carbon fines.
