Description
The Pentair Pentek DGD-2501-20 is a 20-inch Big Blue whole-house sediment cartridge built on the DGD Series dual-gradient density design. Spun from 100% pure polypropylene, it reduces dirt, sand, silt, and rust down to a nominal 1 micron while adding no taste, odor, or color to your water.
The dual-gradient structure increases filter density from the outer surface toward the center, so coarse particles are captured on the outside and finer particles deeper in. This delivers up to three times the dirt-holding capacity of similar-size cartridges and a very low pressure drop of under 1 psi at 20 gpm, making it an excellent high-flow pre-filter ahead of carbon or specialty filters.
Measuring 20" x 4.5", it fits all 20-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue and other heavy-duty housings and is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements. Replace approximately every 6 months, or sooner if flow drops. Ships as a single cartridge.
