The iFilters U300UV is an advanced under sink drinking water filtration system designed to improve water taste, clarity, and quality without using a reverse osmosis membrane. Ideal for city and well water applications, the U300UV combines sediment filtration, KDF/GAC media, 0.5 micron carbon block filtration, and UV protection to help reduce common drinking water concerns before water reaches your dedicated faucet. Stage 1 uses sediment filtration to help capture dirt, rust, sand, silt, and suspended particles before water reaches the specialty media stages. Stage 2 uses KDF/GAC filtration to help reduce iron, chlorine taste and odor, certain water-soluble heavy metals, bad taste, odor, and common organic contaminants. Stage 3 uses the CBSM-2510 0.5 micron coconut carbon block filter for fine filtration of Cryptosporidium, Giardia, cysts, bacteria, asbestos, VOCs, fine sediment, and suspended particles. Stage 4 uses UV protection to help neutralize bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms that may remain in the water after filtration.
