Description
The Pentair Pentek Big Blue Heavy Duty Filter Housing is an extra-large 20-inch vessel for whole-house, high-flow, and heavy-sediment filtration. It accepts 4.5" diameter "Big Blue" cartridges, so it houses the cartridge that reduces sediment and other contaminants in your water while reducing the number of vessels a high-flow system needs.
The polypropylene sump and High-Flow Polypropylene (HFPP) cap thread together with one large closure sealed by an EPDM O-ring and stand up to a broad range of chemicals. The cap uses 1-1/2" NPT inlet and outlet ports. The 1-1/2" internal port lets a greater volume of water pass through the HFPP cap more rapidly. This model does not have a pressure-relief button. It is Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material and structural integrity requirements.
Maximum dimensions are 23.74" x 7.45" (603 x 189 mm), and the 20-inch housing is rated to a maximum 90 psi at 40 to 100 degrees F; protect against freezing to avoid cracking and water leakage. The filter cartridge, mounting bracket, and tightening wrench are NOT included and are sold separately.
