This thin film membrane is the third-stage element in the OMNIFilter RO2050 Premium under sink reverse osmosis drinking water system, reducing dissolved salts and minerals so your water comes out cleaner, clearer, and better tasting. The OM1 membrane is wound from layers of micron-thin film around a hollow center core. Incoming water pressure forces prefiltered water through the membrane and into the storage tank as product water, while dissolved solids are sent to the drain as reject water. The OMNIFilter RO2050 system is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards 53 and 58 for the reduction of the claims listed on its performance data sheet. Installation is a simple drop-in into the RO2050 membrane housing. For best results, replace the membrane every 12 to 24 months, or sooner if you notice a change in the taste, odor, or color of your water, and change your prefilter and postfilter cartridges at the same time.
